Here are some examples of how some of our customers are using their generators

There are many different ways to install and use Volvox Generators. Here are just a few:-

Case Study 1: The first generation Volvox Generator converted to run on Tallow (animal fat).

Case Study 2: MultiSpeed as a backup generator - the quickest possible installation.

Case Study 3: MultiSpeed as a CHP with the grid used for night-time and 'low demand' supply.

blob Case Study 4: MultiSpeed as a CHP used primarily for heat and selling generated electricity to the grid.

blob Case Study 5: So how difficult is it connecting your generator to the grid? This case study shows how it's done using a 1960's Lister SOM CHP system (but the principle applies to any generator).

Here are some more projects from around the world

Ken Boak has one of the most impressive domestic CHP systems possible. His website here is extremely comprehensive and contains lots of useful analytical data and hints/tips on how to do things right.

Another one of our friends; Pete Marshall has some very interesting projects on his Listerclones website too.

Here's a guy that did all the hard work himself and did an excellent job of it too. An exceptionally well implemented Lister-based CHP.

Meet Rocketboy. He has two interesting projects:- a lister type twin cylinder, and a lister type single - wonderfully put together. He's also got a great page on building the engine shed.

Make sure you visit George's site; www.utterpower.com. George is internationally renowned and respected for his knowledge and experience of home power generation. We are sure that you will find his website as inspirational as we do.
