Volvox GenStationPro Small Commercial Combined Heat and Power Systems
Everybody wants to be environmentally friendly, but not many of us are. Most people believe it is a financial burden and those that have taken the initiative soon realise that it is not easy to be green.
In fact there are technologies and many sources of financial incentives available to make the initiative financially beneficial, but the administrative overhead of getting everything in place can be extremely daunting.
This is where Volvox comes in. We handle all the paperwork and administration for you.
If your business needs electricity and heat, we can:-
Significantly reduce your annual energy costs (typically by 30%)
Dramatically reduce your carbon footprint
Help you meet your carbon emissions obligations
This is how it works
1) We undertake a Project Assessment which includes:-
a site inspection to assess suitability of your property and an analysis of what installation tasks will be required a search of local planning restrictions and legislation a search of all currently available financial (CAPEX and OPEX) incentives and grants. These change on a very regular basis. an analysis of your energy requirements. a detailed specification of the plant required to satisfy your energy needs. a report showing you the required capital expenditure and running costs (fuel and maintenance) and your overall return on investment.
2) If you like what we have proposed (and we're sure you will), we then:-
build the equipment for your site. install the equipment, get CHPQA certification and commission the system. make all the requisite grant and incentive applications. If grid connection is deemed advantageous, we liaise with your grid DNO and get the connection certified.
3) The system is then ready to go live, but we continue to support you by:-
supplying you with the fuel via one of our nationwide distributors. N.B. All our CHP systems notify us (via email or SMS) when fuel is running low. managing the application for revenue from the Renewable Obligation Certificates. providing system maintenance services. N.B. All our CHP systems notify us (via email or SMS) when the next service is due and will also tell us of any impending problem so we can fix it before it causes an issue.
The Fuel we use
is a very high quality biodiesel that exceeds the key requirements of EN14213/4 has been certified by Ofgem as being eligible for Renewable Obligation Certificates [N.B. 99.9% of all UK biodiesel does not qualify for ROCs. Do not purchase a CHP system from a biodiesel supplier without proof of their fuel being certified by Ofgem] is priced to ensure that CHP usage is financially advantageous has a price that is index linked to fossil fuels, so no matter what happens to global fuel costs, your ROI and cost savings are protected.
Our CHP machines
are built using highly reliable and robust industrial diesel engines (usually Cummins or Deutz) use market leading alternators for maximum electrical efficiency use 'state of the art' micro processor based controllers with full scada data logging and internet connectivity for remote monitoring have an overall efficiency of 90% are supplied in a sound-proof, weather-proof, dust-proof, fire-proof and tamper-proof enclosure conform to:- Low Voltage Directive 2006/95EC, EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and are CE certified.
What else do we do
If you have any special requirements for additional heat, or even cooling, we can satisfy these requirements in an environmentally
manner using heat pump or adsorption chiller equipment.
As well as renewable biodiesel, we can also supply CHP systems fueled by natural gas, wood gas, biogas or LPG. Take a look at our 25kWe and 50kWe Biogas CHP systems.
Although our primary business is defined as being between the 20kWe to 200kWe range, we can also supply systems smaller or larger than this range.
