Domestic CHP

Features

blob Provides up to 6.5 kWatts of electricity (single phase, 50Hz, 240VAC) and 13kWatts of heat (in the form of hot water at approximately 70 degrees centigrade).

blob Designed and built to run on vegetable oil. Can also be configured to run on other fuels.

b Power output is configurable, via multiple engine speed settings, to match the variations in demand throughout the year (power output settings of 5Kw and 6.5Kw).

b Fully featured control and safety systems providing automated start/stop for unattended running.

b Low cost of ownership due to high reliability, high durability and extremely low service costs.

b  A 2 year, 5000 hour warranty. [N.B. A 5000 hour warranty on your car would get you 200,000 miles (at an average speed of 40mph)].

Pricing

The basic price of a Volvox Slow Speed Domestic CHP is £3950. This gives you a complete CHP self-build kit consisting of:- one slow speed diesel generator, all the heat recover ancillaries, mounting brackets and fixtures, and all the necessary controls, wiring and plumbing.

The following optional extras are available:-

b Vegetable Oil Conversion kit - £70

b Service Interval Extension kit (extends the service interval from 250 hours to 1000 hours) - £450

b Sound reducing enclosure (including residential silencer) - £910

Alternatively, we can build the CHP system for you, and include the vegetable oil kit all for £4950 (this does not include the other optional extras above).
