The ASE 3P07 is a compact, all stainless steel heat exchanger specifically developed for heat extraction from internal combustion engine exhausts, both compression and spark ignition.
It is a triple-pass, contra-flow 0.7 m2 (1,256 sq inch) fire tube (smoke tube) type design featuring removable end caps to allow clear access to the fire tubes. This enables the easy and thorough cleaning essential for maintaining performance on oil and diesel burning engines.
The tube pack and water jacket are 100% gas flushed TIG welded for freedom from corrosion and are constructed of 316L (DIN 1.404) acid resisting austenitic stainless steel. The end caps are cast heavy walled 304 stainless steel.
The water jacket is pressure tested to 3 Bar (45 psi) with a recommended operating pressure of 1 Bar (15 psi). The jacket features 4 off ¾” BSP female connections.
Though specifically designed for internal combustion engines, the unit could find applications in solid fuel burning and other gas cooling applications where corrosion resistance and clean-ability are essential features. |
